Gloria E. Bader, Ed. D. – President and Founder
Gloria is president of The Bader Group, an international organization development consulting firm specializing in leadership, executive coaching, team development, organizational assessments, and action learning. Founded in 1989, The Bader Group has facilitated organizational renewal for clients in a broad spectrum of industries: e-commerce, manufacturing, education, finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, retail, technology, and engineering. Ninety percent of its clients are repeat business.
Previously, Gloria directed Corporate Leadership and Organization Development at Sharp HealthCare, a vertically integrated health care system in San Diego. During this time, she and her staff received the 1990 “Company of the Year Award” from the American Society for Training and Development and led a customer service improvement effort throughout the 10,000-employee organization.
An author of over a dozen publications, Gloria has recently focused her writing and product development in the area of trust. She has served as the president of the San Diego Organization Development Network, a national conference presenter, mentor for over 50 student interns, and board member for several non-profits.
Gloria was a certified examiner for the California Quality Award, the state version of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Now she lectures in the Masters of Advanced Studies in the Leadership of Healthcare Organizations for the University of California, San Diego, and continues as an adjunct staff member and feedback specialist at the Center for Creative Leadership.
As an executive coach, Gloria has helped Fortune 500 clients as well as doctors, lawyers and other professionals to discover and achieve their leadership potential. Coaching clients include: Phelps-Dodge, Inter-American Development Bank, Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Environmental Protection Agency, University of California Medical School, San Diego, Avery Dennison, Island Data, Aztec Shops, and many others. Based on her varied and international coaching experience, Gloria is co-authoring with Anne Liljenstrand, Ph.D., a series of PDF tools, Coaches’ E-Library.
Gloria’s original approach to organization development and coaching grows out of her diverse life experience. She’s an accomplished graphic artist, author, mountain climber (Mt. Rainier, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Ruwenzoris, Dolomites, and others) and former Outward Bound wilderness instructor. She’s lived and worked in Italy and Nigeria, travels widely, and studies yoga, Italian, and gourmet cooking.
Her bachelor’s degree is from Rosemont College, outside Philadelphia, masters in Art from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and her doctorate in Leadership from the University of San Diego. |

Anne M. Liljenstrand, Ph.D. – Principal Consultant
Anne Liljenstrand is a Principal Consultant with The Bader Group, specializing in leadership and organizational development. Her main areas of expertise are executive coaching, organizational and psychological assessments, team development, and design and implementation of custom programs. As part of The Bader Group, Anne has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including: Hi-tech/IT, Engineering, Financial, Consumer goods, Logistics/ Freight, Governmental agencies, Healthcare, and Biotech.
In addition to Anne’s work with The Bader Group she is an adjunct faculty member and a certified feedback coach for The Center for Creative Leadership. She is a licensed psychologist and holds experience from clinical work in a private practice setting, as well as from San Diego State University’s Counseling and Psychological services delivering individual therapy and group facilitation. She also holds experience from work with an international search and selection firm.
Anne has both lived and worked in Sweden for a number of years. She is well traveled, and fluent in the Scandinavian languages. In her consulting, Anne combines her clinical understanding of individual differences and potential with organizational knowledge and business acumen. For several years Anne has researched, authored and presented on practices and approaches to executive coaching, including the most recent product, Coaches’ E-Library – for coaches and managers, co-authored with Gloria Bader, Ed.D. Other publications include: A Comparison of Practices and Approaches to Coaching based on Academic Background, The Value of Building Trust in the Workplace with Gloria Bader, Coaching: who, what, where, when and how with Jonathan Gale, Joyce Pardieu and Del Nebeker, as well as her most recent article, Coaching services: A look at coaches, clients, and practices with Del Nebeker, published in the Consulting Psychology Journal. Anne holds degrees in business administration and psychology from Western Washington University, and a Dual Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational and Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. |

Stephen O. Hansen, CPCC, ACC - Associate Consultant
Steve Hansen is an Associate Consultant with The Bader Group, specializing in executive and leadership development coaching with assessment and feedback. He brings his practical, in-depth business experience drawn from past executive and leadership roles to his coaching. He has the capacity to connect deeply with others, listen sharply, and demonstrate insights.
Steve has a strong background in organizing, automating, and streamlining operations, administration, and the sales function combined with a solid record of increasing revenue and profits by improving processes, managing projects, and building teams. Steve is an experienced facilitator who is known for motivating staff to meet changing organizational objectives. He has excellent analytical, evaluative, communications and interpersonal skills and has successfully met revenue and profit goals by providing exceptional client service.
Before joining The Bader Group, Steve worked in the home healthcare industry at the executive level. He provided operational support to 55 franchise owners in 8 states for the largest home care franchise company in the U.S. Consulting to owners on business development, operations, and procedures and processes, he quickly built relationships, trust, and credibility — enabling owners to implement needed changes. Prior to that, as Director of Operations for the visionary industry leader, Age Concerns, Steve focused on organizational development, process management and improvement, team building, and strategic planning. Steve also has multiple years of experience as a sales manager where he was recognized for leadership in cultivating customer and employee loyalty.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. He is a Certified Coach for the Center for Creative Leadership, an international leadership training organization. Steve has completed an extensive course of study with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). He is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and holds the designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Steve is certified in 360-degree multi-rater assessments including Benchmarks®.
As a trained mediator, Steve served with the National Conflict Resolution Center for many years. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors in both corporate as well as non-profit sectors.

Elizabeth Harper, Psy.D. (c) - Associate Consultant
Elizabeth Harper is an Associate Consultant with The Bader Group, as she completes her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial Organizational Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University. She holds degrees from the University of California, Irvine and CSPP in social sciences and psychology with a strong industrial-organizational foundation in test administration, group dynamics, and coaching. She is proficient in psychometric tools, such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Elizabeth has extensive experience in the clinical setting, working with inpatient and outpatient clients. At Douglas Young Clinic, she managed the mental health care of over 300 clients. In addition, she has conducted 100 clinical assessments and developed 150 treatment plans for patients with a wide range of psychopathology. By understanding the spectrum in mental health, Elizabeth combines these insights with her natural ability to relate to others.
Prior to graduate school, Elizabeth developed strategic marketing programs with executive level leaders. At Cox Media, she successfully partnered with leading businesses and Fortune 500 companies to launch on-air advertising campaigns. Through detailed assessment and relationship building, Elizabeth was able to customize each program to meet critical business needs.
With her clinical experience and business background, Elizabeth provides The Bader Group clients with a diverse set of skills; case conceptualization, project management, leadership, organizational development and teambuilding.

Xavier Hernandez, Ph.D. Candidate - Associate Consultant
Xavier Hernandez, M.S., Associate Consultant with The Bader Group, is an organization development consultant with a passion for partnering with individuals, teams and organizations in reaching their full potential. Xavier has doctoral level training in Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology as well as progressive experience with survey design, analysis and implementation; performance management and talent management; coaching for behavior change; team building and facilitation; organizational assessment and development, and change initiatives.
Xavier is certified in Situational Leadership® from the Center for Leadership Studies; Lominger International’s Voices® 360 degree feedback and coaching; Benchmarks 360 degree feedback and 360 By Design from the Center for Creative Leadership; and is also proficient in interpreting several other psychological and organizational assessment tools including the Meyers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) and the California Psychological Inventory 260 (CPI-260).
Xavier has extensive experience in creating and administering internal and external facing opinion and satisfaction surveys as well as other quantitative and qualitative evaluation tools. At Goal Financial, LLC, he worked in the Organization Development Department focusing on performance management processes (from goal setting to performance appraisal) and on-boarding new talent. He conducted training programs for managers’ and employees’ on several topics including performance review and professional development planning. Xavier’s interests include leadership development, appreciative inquiry, developing character strengths, and executive coaching. In addition, Xavier carries ten years experience working in therapeutic settings working with individuals and groups.
Originally from Ontario, California, Xavier attended California State University, Fullerton where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Services. His Masters of Science degree in Psychology is from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. Currently, he is completing his dissertation as a Doctoral Candidate in the Dual Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Ph.D. program at the California School of Professional Psychology and the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management.

Lina Marie Garcia - Office Mananger
For over seven years, Lina has starred as the Virtual Office Manager for The Bader Group. Lina is responsible for client invoicing, all aspects of our E- Commerce product orders, and preparation and shipping of materials for off-site retreats and workshops.
Her wide range of organizational and computer skills grows daily through challenging projects and her commitment to continuing education. Lina provides an unparalleled proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ACT as well as light bookkeeping using QuickBooks. She is currently enrolled in the Associates Degree Program at Grossmont College with a focus on Business Administration.
Prior to working with The Bader Group, Lina served as an Administrative Assistant for Heritage Christian School where her children attended. She possesses extensive customer service experience from her work within Pacific Bell and the Mervyn’s retail store chain.
